They were able to confirm that the warning was erroneous, in addition to confirming my suspicion that the car was due for a transmission fluid change and a brake change. I first went in for a state inspection, and Jason, the inspector, noticed that my windshield had a crack that would cause the inspection to fail. Instead of letting me go through (and pay for) a failed inspection, he honestly advised me to fix it first and come back. I really appreciated that — it saved me both time and money and showed how professional they are. After I got my windshield repaired, I returned for the inspection and everything went smoothly. Jason also took the time to point out that my rear tires needed replacement and clearly explained the potential safety risks, including the possibility of a blowout if I didn’t address it. I never felt pressured — just well-informed. I ended up ordering new tires through them, and they will call me once they arrive for installation. Overall, very honest, professional, and customer-focused service. Highly recommend!"

They were able to get my vehicle in the same day, and I had it back later that afternoon, which was incredibly convenient. The price was very reasonable and fair compared to other quotes I received, but what really stood out was the customer service. The staff was professional, friendly, and took the time to explain everything clearly. It’s hard to find a shop that is both honest and efficient, but this one delivered on both. "My sister and I recently took our homeless brother's car to Beach Auto & Transmission Repair on Saturday, February 7th, for some major repairs. The driver side wiper wasn't working(even after our having replaced both blades); the passenger side mirror was gone; the driver side window wouldn't close all of the way; and the coolant system needed major work. Dave Fischer, General Manager was gracious enough to do the work on Saturday after learning about our situation. When the mirror had to be ordered, we had to leave the car over the weekend, and Mr. Fischer assured us the car would be ready Monday by noon so that we could leave Norfolk and get me to the Richmond airport by 2:30. On Monday, Brian Simmons, Lead Tech and Shop Foreman, went out of his way to get a mirror when the wrong one was delivered. He actually sent an employee to Suffolk(a 45 minute drive each way) to get a mirror in time to replace it. Then, when we were to pay the bill, we learned that he had greatly reduced the cost and had included the window which we had opted not to repair. Also, he graciously offered to divide the bill so that we could both pay an equal amount. I cannot give a rating high enough to reflect the lengths to which Dave and Brian went in order to assist our brother. I highly recommend this business!!!"

"I was in VA to pick up my kids, coming all the way from ND in just under 48 hours. We got up early Wednesday morning to hit the road to FL to visit family and my car wouldn’t turn over! The guys at Beach Auto & Transmission Repair were able to get my car in, diagnosed and replace the alternator and battery all before 4:00PM the same day!
