Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Beach Auto & Transmission Repair collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Effective date: October 30, 2026

1. Who We Are

This policy covers the website of Beach Auto & Transmission Repair, located at 5564 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. For any privacy question or request, contact us at (757) 600-2095 or [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

When you use this website, we may collect:

  • Contact details you provide, such as your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Vehicle information you provide, such as year, make, model, and the service or concern you describe.
  • Appointment and drop-off requests, including your preferred date, time, and visit type.
  • Message content, including estimate requests, contact form messages, chat conversations with our website assistant, and photos you choose to attach.
  • Usage data collected automatically through analytics and advertising tools, such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and interactions with the site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide estimates.
  • Book, confirm, and manage your appointments and drop-off requests.
  • Communicate with you about your vehicle and service status.
  • Maintain service and warranty records.
  • Measure website performance and the effectiveness of our advertising.
  • Protect the website from spam and abuse.

Service vs. marketing communications. Messages about your appointment, estimate, or vehicle are service communications. Submitting an inquiry or booking form is not consent to marketing messages. We do not currently send marketing text messages, and we do not add you to a marketing list simply because you contacted us.

4. AI Website Assistant

Our website includes an automated assistant (Wrench) powered by an AI service provider. When you chat with the assistant, your messages, and the contact and vehicle details you share, are processed by that provider to generate a response and are stored so our staff can follow up on your request.

The assistant's answers are preliminary and may be incomplete or incorrect. It cannot determine whether your vehicle is safe to drive, and it cannot authorize repairs. To reach a person, call (757) 600-2095 during business hours.

We do not currently record customer telephone calls.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

This website uses the following third-party tools:

  • Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking, to measure when advertising leads to a booking or inquiry.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages through session replays and heatmaps (such as clicks and scrolling) so we can improve the website. Microsoft may also use this usage information for fraud prevention and advertising under its privacy statement.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that protects our forms from spam and automated abuse.

Analytics and advertising tools may receive your IP address, browser and device information, page addresses, referring pages, cookie or device identifiers, and interaction or conversion events. These tools may set cookies or use similar technologies. Google and Microsoft may use this information to measure advertising, associate activity with other information they hold, and personalize advertising, subject to their settings and policies. Our booking conversion event uses a booking reference, not your name, phone number, or email address.

See how Google uses information from partner sites and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

6. Who Receives Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing identifiers and browsing or interaction data with advertising providers may be considered a sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or processing for targeted advertising under some privacy laws, even without payment. The categories of recipients include:

  • Website hosting and cloud database providers that store form submissions.
  • Email delivery services that send appointment confirmations and responses.
  • AI service providers that power the website assistant and estimate tools.
  • Analytics and advertising providers listed above.
  • Our internal lead management tools used by staff to track and respond to requests.

Some providers process information on our behalf. Analytics and advertising providers may also use information for their own purposes under their policies, so not all of this disclosure is limited to processing solely for us.

7. Data Retention

We currently keep customer booking, inquiry, estimate, and service-request records for operational, warranty, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. We do not currently have an automated deletion schedule or a fixed retention period for these records. If we adopt a retention schedule in the future, we will update this policy.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect, including access controls and spam and abuse protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices

  • Cookies: adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies alone may not stop all data collection or advertising-related sharing. Browser tracking protection or a content blocker can also limit third-party requests, but may affect website features, including our forms' security checks.
  • Advertising preferences: use Google My Ad Center or Microsoft advertising settings. Availability depends on the provider and whether you are signed in. These settings do not necessarily stop those providers from receiving website data.
  • Website controls: this website does not currently offer an on-site cookie preference panel or an automated opt-out from analytics and advertising sharing. It does not currently implement an automatic response to Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. You can contact us about an applicable privacy request; contacting us does not itself immediately disable browser tracking.
  • Marketing: if you ever receive a marketing message from us, you can ask us to stop at any time.
  • Privacy questions and requests: you may contact us at [email protected] or (757) 600-2095 to ask about the personal information we hold about you or to request a correction. Requests are reviewed by our staff individually. We may need to verify your identity and may keep records needed for service, warranty, legal, or accounting purposes.

10. Children

This website is intended for adults seeking vehicle service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
